AIB Branding:
A digital first strategy

While working with Originate Creative Agency, one of my main projects was the rebranding of AIB Bank. I worked from the initial tendering process, where their was a large design team which was led by Kevin Higgins, to the final development of this identity, an 18 month period as a lead creative.

In the latier year, I spent 8 months of the third phase working on my concept, which was chosen by the AIB team. I had the pleasure solely crafting and creating the final identity that we see today across all branding and touchpoints. I worked closely with Kevin (Director) and Marcus Kennedy (Account Lead) to finalise the finished identity.

Previous to this brand refresh, the AIB logo was last updated 26 years previous, with Wolf Olins design agency. It was a vertical design that originated from an old stone engraved marking that did not lend itself to the modern digital formats such as mobile and web.
